Powder Neutron Diffractometer
This versatile neutron diffraction instrument enables a wide range of structural, magnetic, and materials-science investigations on powder samples. The instrument was previously operated at HZB as E6. Its flexible configuration allows measurement parameters to be adapted to the specific characteristics of the studied material and the requirements of individual users.
The diffractometer provides a balance between measurement speed and the resolution of structural and magnetic diffraction peaks. Equipped with a variety of sample environment systems, it enables studies under extreme experimental conditions, including very low and high temperatures as well as applied magnetic fields.
The instrument serves as a platform for interdisciplinary research and the development of new experimental methodologies.
